Our first error code is Carrier infinity error code 33, which means Limit Circuit Fault. Now, this is brought about by poor airflow meaning airflow is not sufficient.
Interestingly, if you do not fix the issue, your appliance may get another error code- Carrier infinity code 13, meaning safety lockout.
Carrier infinity error code 33 – what to do
Step 1: Change Furnace Filters, If New
Step 2: Check For Proper Switch Operation- Also Check Connections To Switches
Step 3: Otherwise..
The Issue Is During Installation, The System Systems Were Not Changed-Left At Default..Which Is Wrong.
THE ISSUE IS DURING INSTALLATION, THE SYSTEM SYSTEMS WERE NOT CHANGED-LEFT AT DEFAULT..which is wrong.
So, you wanna go back to the thermostat(Carrier infinity system control) wherever it is placed and change a couple of things..it needs to be set according to the system’s recommendations
So access the thermostat menu…you want to check furnace airflow settings / set-up
See what the manual that comes with it says abou it below:
The important detail is:
Low heat rise (option)= set ON (set to on) – that is your system has a bypass humidifier
And the explanation is right there…once you do that, airflow will improve..that is low heat airflow in the furnace
>So click menu
Then touch the decrease (down arrow) button..touch it down
Now press on service button…you can see it up there..on the screen…tap on it and [this is crucial] hold it for like 10 seconds
It will take you to this menu..
Once there, tap on SET-UP
Now Tap on FURNACE
Now tap on GAS HEAT AIRFLOW
You are now taken here..
Now you can see where to do this: Low heat rise (option)= set ON (set to on)
Make sure you change from OFF to ON..tap on ON to make it change to ON then save (this is important)
Then click DONE.
And that’s all…just ensure the Low heat rise (option) is set ON (set to on) and not to OFF, as most installers leave it.
Try it and tell us..
Don’t forget that sometimes, Turning OFF the FURNACE and THEN turning it BACK ON fixes it..
PS: In case you don’t have infinity control(no Infinity Thermostat), try playing with manual DIP settings (go to switch 1’s bank of switches then turn 4 on -on control board of furnace)
Otherwise, it could be the blower motor has developed problems so you might have to test – and replace entire motor assembly.
